EG 207—Literary Perspectives: Images of the West
WANTED: This course explores multiple genres of literature, including poetry, creative non-ﬁction, ﬁction, and ﬁlm. The primary focus of the course is to investigate how the West is depicted in the diﬀerent genres. We will use cowboy poetry, personal diaries, folktales, folksongs, urban legends, ghost stories, and Western ﬁlms to examine the culture and time period of the Old West. Evaluation for the course will be based on writ-ten responses to the literature, quizzes, unit exams, and Canvas assignments. This class is a distance learning online course. Each spring, Associated Student Government requires RSOs to re-register to maintain recognized status.
